IMAGINEXT DC SUPER FRIENDS SERIES 8 HOW TO
If you want to know how to identify these bags from one another without the whole “feel around on ’em” then keep readin’!Īs a consumer of Blind Bag “material,” you have to start off by answering one simple question: do you want a few specific items or do you want all of them without running into duplicates? To answer the second question, all we need to know is a) the number of total figures and b) how to tell the packages apart. If you understand how the coding on the bags work and you just need to see which numbers match up with which people, just scroll down until you see a list.

Maybe I’ll even try to snag up those missing, super-hard-to-find couple of guys we’re missing from Series 3. I like the choices for this set and I look forward to getting as many of these Imaginext DC figures together as my son and I can find in the near future. These things used to take up the better part of an aisle, and nowadays they just get a tiny sliver – not even 25% – crammed between some godawful Ryan’s World shite and an aisle-ender gross-out toy of the month or gimmicky stuffed toy.Īnyway, I hope the series continues, and I hope we get a Series 8 before Christmas of ’21. But it’s not really like Imaginext is replacing all this DC stuff with something else, it’s like their whole output has dropped. And I get that the Marvel/DC dominated media has passed its heyday, but they’re still huge IPs. So what happened…? I feel like it was just before last Christmas when Series 6 came out. I also thought it was super-cool that they tackled the Flashpoint storyline where we got these characters from a different timeline, such as Thomas Wayne’s Batman. We got fairly “out there” characters like Red Robin and more recently The Signal and Black Bat. Imaginext could’ve thrown out these characters in any context they wanted (or without any at all) but instead they stuck to popular narratives at the time. What really impressed me was the adherence to the source material. Even as he got older and gravitated towards existing IPs like DC and Marvel, he very freely mixed in all his monsters and ninjas and aliens with the likes of Batman and the Joker. In his younger years, my kid had a lot of the bigger stuff (which was very reasonably priced, I will say) like the vehicles and playsets and yeah, they had a lot of little bits that got lost a little too quickly, but everything from spaceships to samurai dens got his little games going. So many “younger kid” toys have shoddy paint jobs, ill-fitting molds, and it seems like there’s always some “weak point” that QC never catches…or never gives a damn about.īut I always though Imaginext was different. I know it’s all pre-school versions of stuff that exists elsewhere in arguably more desirable formats, but for being pre-school toys the quality was/is very good, there was excellent attention to detail, and the toys weren’t dumbed down because of their target audience.
My research indicates this is $8.59 lower (39.10% Savings) than the list price of $21.99 at time of posting. What in the world happened to Imaginext? Granted they released a ton of Toy Story 4 and Jurassic World stuff, it wasn’t nearly as varied as their DC line or their original stuff (which I actually thought was pretty cool). For preschool crime-fighters ages 3-8 years.
